hat is the purpose of a Web Site Award?

Basically, a web site award is given to a Web Site for the purpose of commending good work, which in turn has the effect of bolstering the spirits/morale of the Web-Mistress/Master of a Web Site. That is good for all concerned. A web site award is also an excellent item to add to a site to allow for the ease of linking to other fine sites on the World Wide Web, plus the simple fact they sure look nice on the awards page.

As with most awards given on the Web, Buddy's Cat Web Site Awards have a few requirements your site must meet. Please do not apply for the awards if your site does not qualify.

1. The site must be about Cats or other pets, and/or pet related subjects, or the site must have at a minimum, at least one or more pages about your Cats or other pets. (Your pets ... but you can add some of your neighbor's pets too, if you wish! Just have permission of the photographer.)

2. The site must be appropriate for all ages. It must not contain any pornography or sexual content, or anything relating or aluding to animal or human abuse, violence or discrimination.

3. In order to win an award your site must keep our interest, and, of course, be easy to navigate. It must not have many broken links, or "Under Construction" signs. (All our web sites are under continual construction anyway, but excess is not necessary.)

4. Your site must have good content and show the love you have for your pets. And the award must be openly displayed and linked back to our web site.

Please sign our Guest Book, and pin your location on our Site Map; these is NOT mandatory requirements, but they will help. Buddyand I always visit every site we have made contact with by banner exchange, e-mail, and Guest Book and Guest Map entries. As a result of these visits, we sometimes present an award to a site that strikes our interest even though none were applied for by that site.
