~ I'm Only a Cat ~
I'm only a cat,
and I stay in my place...
Up there on your chair,
on your bed or your face!
I'm only a cat,
and I don't finick much...
I'm happy with cream
and anchovies and such!
I'm only a cat,
and we'll get along fine...
As long as you know
I'm not yours... you're all mine!

WEBMASTER'S NOTE: The following was written for the introduction on the first page we had for MikiCato on the 'Wizards World of Cats' .
The page is gone now, replaced by the one your are presently viewing, but I thought it would be nice to keep it.

"He is the new kid on the block, the latest headache, the smallest tornado, the next heartbreaker to enter the house, and he has already won his furbrother, Buddy Bear's heart. Old Granny Kitty, Princess Ebony, is still thinking about it, but the rest
of us are totaly in love with little MikiCato.
He was the smallest of a family of little
beauties turned loose outside their house.
When we saw the kittens we wanted them
all, but this little guy just strolled up to me
and reached up on my leg as if he were
saying "Pick me up and hold me Please!"
Well I did pick him up and I held him in one hand, and I am still holding him every chance He gets. He has his own large size kitty bed in the painting/sewing room, where he disturbs nothing (he does his thing in the living room and in my 'puter' room.) He is being trained as a 'house only' kitty, just as Buddy was, and will be going to the vet for his 'operation' in September. His new trick is to sneak into our bed at night and curl up in my arms. (I still don't know how he gets my arms around him like that though.)
Our picture taking will be more frequent with Miki than with any of the other babies we've ever had, for not only do we have more time, but I feel this will more than likely be the "last of the litter" for us.
MikiCato is three and 1/2 months old at this writing. (August 17th, 2003.) He is asleep in my lap as I write this."

Just after arriving at his new home, the little one was given his first meal, which he did not eat much of the first time up to the dinner bowl, but later .... wow!!.
Then came the introduction to his new bed and blanket. That was a big hit with the little guy. He immediately fell asleep.
MikiCato was Home. All was well with the residents at Five Oaks Manor.
This scale model Doll house I built for Miss Lisa, my Wife, a few years back, was little Miki's hiding place the first three months he was with us.
As usual, those photos weren't taken.
The door was removed, the interior was stripped and padded for him, and the little guy was happy.
The house now sits on a newly made shelf over the TV, and on occasion, Miki will come and squeeze himself onto the porch and have a nap.

Little Miki was into, and onto everything in the house in no time at all .... a typical, healthy, happy, contented kitty, and from day one, in firm control of his Dad's heart.
Life was good at Five Oaks Manor, and to this day still is.

Miki has now grown into a healthy 9 pound tomkitty, and is the leader of the pack when it comes to romp and scamper.
His night spot is in the crook of his Dad's arms. Where else?
On the first and last trip outside, Lisa
<-- took this picture of Miki looking at me over the uncut grass in our yard.
I called the little guy and took this -->
picture as he came at a run.
